THE SOUND

THE SOUND

The story of this band is a story that we have heard so many times.
A story of dreams, illusions and frustrations.
A story of decisions,
Right or wrong doesn’t matter …… now unfortunately it’s too late.
What is certain is that the Band THE SOUND deserved more. But as just I said
Now it’s too late.

THE SOUND were an English post punk/New wave Band Formed in South London In 1979 and dissolved in 1988.
The Leader was the Singer/Guitarist Adrian Borland.
The Borland Music is full of Black Pression, Full of that sort of Daily Melancholy that we sometimes feel sticking to the Skeen.
Repetitive bass
Scratchy guitars
Jarring keyboards
A Dark sound as If it was wrapped in a thin mist, the one that usually emerges after the sundown or early in the winter morning.
Adrian Borland Committed suicide on April 26, 1999, throwing Himself in the path of an express Train at Wimbledon Station.

I CAN’T ESCAPE MYSELF

So many feelings
End up in here
Left so alone I’m with
Oh, an atmoshere
I’m sick and I’m tired
Of reasoning
Just want to break out
Shake off this skin

I can’t escape myself

All my problems
Loom larger than life
I can swallow another slice
Seems like my shadow
Marks every strike
Can’t learn to live with
What’s trapped inside

I can’t escape myself

So many feelings
End up in here
Left so alone I’m with
Oh, an atmoshere
I’m sick and I’m tired
Of reasoning
Just want to break out
Shake off this skin

I can’t escape myself

I can’t escape myself

I can’t escape myself.
